Overview:
The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in managing client relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the successful delivery of services or products to meet client objectives. This position requires a passion for business development, relationship building, and exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
• Identify and secure new business selling a range of UK-wide media solutions.
• Apply your networking skills to develop a sustainable pipeline of new business.
• Act as the main contact for your clients and always provide outstanding customer service.
• Present media strategies, campaign pacing and post-campaign analysis.
• Work closely with the Account Directors and Managers, providing them with detailed campaign briefs that show clients’ pain points, goals, objectives, and service needs, enabling them to create a data-driven strategy.
• Suggest relevant products to cross or up-sell.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
• Keep updated with changes in the media landscape, adopting new tactics to improve client performance and meet client goals.
Key skills and knowledge include:
• Demonstrable experience working in a similar capacity and taking ownership of similar responsibilities within a media owner or agency environment.
• Highly self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills, a natural salesperson with a focus on high-value clients.
• Highly self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
• Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
• Track record of achieving KPI/targets
• Desire to build a portfolio of new business ensuring continued long-term client satisfaction.
• Excellent attention to detail with a track record of analysing performance.
• Interest in and knowledge of up-to-date media best practices.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office.
We believe there is enough business across the UK, we do not operate on a postcode sales area. Our Business Development team can target clients without area limits.
