A Day In The Life

A Day in My Life

Molly Thompson: Digital Marketing Executive

After pouring myself a much-needed cup of coffee, my day starts at 9am. I check through my emails and check my workload to see what’s on the agenda for today.  We have a group virtual call at 9:15am where we all reflect and discuss our successes from the day before. It’s nice to catch up and learn about what other departments are currently working on, whilst encouraging us to be positive in these strange times.

We then have a digital team catch up to see how we’re all doing and discuss our plans for the day, prioritising tasks and making sure everything is on track.

Next, it’s time for optimisation (after another cup of coffee of course). This involves going through each campaign that is currently live to ensure everything is running smoothly and performing as expected. This is when we will potentially make recommendations to our clients if we feel we can make any changes to maximise results, such as adding in more targeting options or changing up artwork and ad copy.

After lunch I start working on a campaign plan for one of our big higher education clients to push enrolments and open day sign ups, one of my favourite parts of the job. I love getting creative with different targeting options and seeing my plan evolve and come to life.

Throughout the day I respond to some client queries, amend some Google Search Network adverts for an upcoming campaign and put together some handover notes for my upcoming few days of annual leave, all with the help of my colleague Daisy.

Then it’s out of office on and time to join the rest of the team on our 4:30pm Friday drinks Zoom meeting, the perfect way to unwind and start a nice long weekend!
